We were staying at Cabana Bay so we got early access and walked over using the path. But, only half of the park was available to early access guests. No long bus or security lines, so that was nice. There is a walking path from Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort directly to Universal's Volcano Bay Water Theme Park and to Universal CityWalk. While the walk to our water park is fairly short, I do personally recommend taking the complimentary resort shuttle to Universal CityWalk and our other theme parks.
