They are aligned with 4 metal dowels, and fastened to the table legs. It turned out that two of the dowels were in the area where I routed out the recess for the Kumiko frames. So I moved one of the dowels into the center of the table top, and eliminated the other.The SKOGSTA is so heavy and sturdy and fun to put together with some help. I plan to use it as a large office desk/table, but I wanted a bit more protection on top. I first considered Furniture Polish or Butcher’s Wax/Finishing Wax but I decided a challenge would be good, so I decided on adding a coating of some sort..
