The 1693 code is whats called a companion code. Its basically telling you that theres another code somewhere in there and if the problem persists you may eventually see the other code. But if the problem goes away so will the 1693.The only thing the 1693 code is telling you is that you have another code. It is called a companion code. What ever tool you used to get the codes did not get answers from both computers. The good news is that right now the VP is ok. The bad news is that you still have a code and then you will find out what your problem is.1999 24 valve no overdrive code P1693.
