cant claim crashed ships. I allready made a post in bug forum but just checking here. It seems you cant claim crashed ships and adding them to your collection. You can only trade with your old ship, thereby losing old ship. I started a new save today and sofar i found 3 ships i cant get without losing the starter ship. If you go to your freighter and there are no ships, either save and reload or summon your freighter to another spot and the ships will show up. They can be worthwhile in the early game if you get lucky on slots. S class are fairly rare but not so rare you won't see more -- eventually. So if you see yourself using it after fixing it up, throw it in storage and use a working ship till you gather the materials. If it's not something you'd use, or really need the money, scrap it. Fix the cockpit, launch thrusters and pulse drive (optional). Everything else can be broken. Fly to station, scrap ship, recall original ship. #6.Use Maps to find Transmission Towers, then use those to find Crashed Ships (and sometimes freighters).
